sunshine coast eco river cruising
                   - an unforgettable experience

river ecosystem cruise - experience eco tourism at its best

The ‘best of’ Cruise Maroochy’s tours, it is our most popular and talked about cruise that gives our guests the ultimate experience in relaxation in nature. We visit the ‘best of’ the Maroochy River which starts with the white sands, crystal clear waters of the river mouth and takes you along a journey back into Aboriginal dream time stories, history and culture of the Gubbi Gubbi people.

We leave modern man and civilisation behind us as the river comes alive with over 44% of Australian birdlife can be seen from the comfort of the Blue Laguna.

We navigate our way thru the wetland Islands into Coolum Creek’s ecosystem, where we find an environment rich in unique birdlife and untouched habitat.

One of the many highlights of this eco tourism experience is found on the wooden walkways into the rainforest where the birdlife is more diverse than the Kakadoo region. Out of the rainforest you come across the old cane cutters barracks which has been transformed into a local museum. Or just sit back on the top deck and enjoy the sights and sounds as you try one of our local beers from our fully licensed bar.

This cruise includes a yummy morning tea (choc brownies, lamingtons, fresh cream tea and coffee) and our famous Aussie BBQ lunch (tender rump steak, gluten free sausages, garden salads, pasta salads, bakery rolls and a tropical fruit platter)

We have won significant eco awards and are members of eco certified.
